It's not worth it, unless you really like him. Just keep him as a friend and hang out once in awhile. Otherwise, you putting 110% into a relationship while he's only putting in fifty because he has no license, unless he pays for gas.

Well just because he has a DUI doesn't mean he can't get off his butt and get to you. I live in an area where having a car would be next to impossible and still manage to date regardless of having a car. Just takes a little time and money, that's all.

This sends up all kinds of red flags. First of all, you shouldn't hang out with people you meet online. You never know what they are really like. Second, why would you want to date someone who got a DUI (and probably a few more if he had his license revoked)? I'd say end it before something bad happens.

wow.....i think that he should take responsibility and take care of his things. you shouldn't have to drive every time. thats not fair to you. also with meeting someone on myspace...hmmm thats risky! you dont know who they are! just don't let your guard down!

Sounds like a loser to me. He uses myspace to get dates?.....and gets dui's......and wants you to pick him up......Sounds like K-fed. pretty much spells diaster.

If you think you like him and want to give it a chance, drive out there. Yeah, gas prices pretty much suck, but that's the price you'll have to pay. Maybe he can help out a little by paying for dinner or the movies, or maybe even for some of the gas. I don't have my license yet, but my ex did and he had to drive the 20 minutes to my house every date as well. I paid for the gas sometimes as well as a meal a couple of times. There's ways to make it work if you really want it to.
