My friend sent a message on myspace to the guy I like just saying hi and that she knew me. I know he's going to bring it up at work when I see him next. I want to say something about it that will make it sound like i like him (without saying that) and I don't want to make it sound like my friend likes him. What should I say? Here's what i was going to say when he asked me about it: "She was asking me if i thought any of the guys at my work were hot and i told her that you were, so she just wanted to see what you looked like" but that makes it sound like my friend is into him, not me.

That's a toughy, don't do any inferring if you like him though just ask if he wants to grab a coffee after work and talk to him. And if he mentions it just say oh she was wondering who i kept on talking about at my work who was sexy.
